Overview

G̈lês-viqo Ye was founded durring the late 14th century in fall of the year 1351, by Glêtesho. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

G̈lês-viqo Ye was built using the conventions of Iron Elvish durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and G̈lês-viqo Ye is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

G̈lês-viqo Ye is is constructed arround a semi-circular broad baked earthen mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The city posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of G̈lês-viqo Ye weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. G̈lês-viqo Ye's budget focused millitary grade defenses are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the city as needed.

A look around G̈lês-viqo Ye shows G̈lês-viqo Ye is little more than a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Birbes can be seen changing hands openly, such that it must be customary to do so and must have been for a long time. The locals have no fear, no annoyance at the state of things, it simply is.

Communities that are not outright independent usually make an arm's-length submission to a local lord.

G̈lês-viqo Ye's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for the combined use of arcuated and trabeated construction, employing arches and constructed with post and lintel. The arch served as the style's chief structural element, with flanking columns serving as buttresses or decorations. While the general shape of their structures could be generously described as simplistic, the use of these arches and columns created a most distinct ascetic which is easily distinguishable on sight to armatures and experts alike.
